In the not so distant past, setting up a good blog costs several thousands, but with today’s DIY website builders, you can now set up a blog or website in under 60 minutes at a very cheap price.
Having a professional looking website/blog is a prerequisite if you don’t want to miss out on potential buyers or limit your business potential. If your blog is not business related, you will still need a professionally looking blog or you won’t be able to retain readers who visited your site.
Worried about setting up a blog? No computer experience? No worries! If your computer savvy, check out my other post How to Setup Wordpress Blog With Bluehost. If your less computer savvy, keep reading. 🙂
Using Weebly to set up your blog is one of the easiest ways to go about it.
Let me walk you through it step by step:
The first step you have to take is to go directly to Weebly homepage
And click on “Blog”
The next page that will be displayed will show a list of free themes you can choose from
Depending on the nature of the blog you want to create, choose a suitable theme
If you find it difficult to select a theme, ask yourself this question “What am I trying to accomplish? The answer to that question will help you to select a theme
Note: You can change the theme anytime.
Click on a theme you would like, and a page displaying the theme will come up. If you are satisfied with the theme, you can proceed by selecting “Choose”
The next page to be displayed will be a page where you will have to make a choice of the domain type you want.
There are three options:
- The first option is a free domain name, which ends with “weebly.com” you can start with this free domain type if you are just experimenting with a blog and see how it works. However you can only use this free feature for a year after which you will be required to pay a fee.
- Register a new domain name here, you will be required to pay a fee, for the domain, which is worth it if you are really serious about blogging and if you want your readers to take you serious.
- This is an option for those who already have a registered domain name.
Once you have completed the step above, the next screen will be the Weebly website builder. You will be able to design and construct your blog on this page
That’s it!! Super easy, right! 🙂
