If you’re a blogger and don’t know what Tailwind Tribes are yet, then you are missing out…..Big Time!
In case you don’t know what Tailwind is, it’s my favorite Pinterest scheduling app. With Tailwind you can easily set up your pins for next week, next month, or even next season. I usually have mine scheduled out a month in advance. Any member can share their own content and other members can gather high quality content. Most tribes have rules that must be followed but these rules benefit everyone in the tribe. The rules of my tribe are simple. “Let’s help elevate each other! Please share at least two other pins for every pin you leave. “
How to get Started on Tailwind Tribes
While you’re not required to sign up a Tailwind Account it makes it a lot easier, but I always try the free version first just to see how I like it.
After you are all signed up for your free account, then you can look for the Tribes in your Menu Bar.You should see tribes listed in your menu bar on the left-hand side. Click the Tribe menu and you’ll see the the tribes you’ve been invited to join listed in a drop down menu. If you don’t see any tribes in your drop down list, you just need to get yourself an invite first! Tribes are closed groups, so you need someone on the inside to invite you in. Today’s your lucky day! I’m inviting you to my tribe! 🙂 Click Here to Join My Tribe!
Tribes are a team. If you expect people to share your pins, you must also share other people’s pins. There is a lot of great content in Tribes that will help you increase your Pinterest following. Don’t expect other members to repin everything that you share, and honestly no one is going to expect you to pin everything you get from the Tribe.
Be sure to respect the rules of the Tribe. The tribe owners can see your activity and most will not hesitate to If you are a blogger like myself then I recommend you do the following:
I recommend hitting up the Pin Inspector under the Optimize Content tab first. Here you can sort your Pins by Repins for a specified period of time. Look for your most popular Pins and hit the Add to Tribes button on the right.
Like I said Tribes are not always as active as you may think, so hitting them with your very best might just get you the Repins you want.
Make Your Own Tribe!
Finally there is one thing you should do once you are in, Your own tribe!
Making a tribe is quite simple just hit the Create New Tribe tab, and you will be asked to Name your Tribe, give a description, category and set the Rules.
It’s neat that you can set simple rules from the get go, and once your tribe is up you can start inviting everyone you wish! Make sure you keep the Tribe content flowing too!
