Starting a blog is very easy. It only takes a few minutes. PART 1: Sign Up For Bluehost
Go to the bluehost homepage
Click “get started now”
The page that comes up next contains 3 plans namely “basic” “plus” “prime” Take a look at the price and the features of each plan, decide which one is best by clicking the “select” button at the bottom.
Type in your domain name and click “next”. If the domain name you typed in is already taken, Bluehost will automatically generate a list of names you can choose from
If you have a registered domain name, go to the “I have a domain name” box and type it your existing domain name you can continue by clicking “next”
Once you have a unique domain name, the page below will be displayed
It is a registration page where you will have to type in your billing details
Just below the account information page, there is the package information page where you will need to choose the account plan you will like to pay for.
Note: the 36 months package has the lowest price.
Enter your payment information and pay for the plan you have selected above
Once you are through with payment, your account is set up with Bluehost, the next step is to go to Bluehost homepage and click on “login”
PART 2: Install WordPress. (WordPress is the brain that runs your blog)
Log in to your bluehost account as described above, look for heading “Website” a list of options under it will be displayed, click “Install WordPress”
The page below will be displayed
Click the small box beside “Show advanced options” to check it. Enter your Site Username or Title, Admin User name and Admin Password.
It is very much advisable that you write this details down and don’t forget it.
Click “install now” to continue.
Now, relax, WordPress is now installing, it wouldn’t take long though, just a few minutes
After installation is completed successfully, you may want to click “Credentials” to view your login details, which is only available for just 12 hours, you might want to write those details down and keep them in a safe place
