Before Peapod, I would do the usual grocery shopping thing. Every Saturday morning I would get up early to beat the crowd and buckle my daughter into her car seat. Then we would head to the store. I don’t know about you, but I have never lived closer then 15 mins to a grocery store, and I’ve never spent less then an hour in the store, especially shopping with my daughter. Then there’s loading the car, unloading the car, and carrying everything in. Do you know how many Saturdays it rained or snowed or was bitter cold last year? More then I would like to remember. Then there are the added purchases. How many extra things have you bought because they were “on sale”? And then, when its all said and done, you get home, and you realize that you forgot the one thing you really needed!!
A lot of frazzled grocery shoppers (like myself in the past) dream of having groceries delivered straight to their kitchen. To make this wish come true, Stop and Shop has presented Peapod, an online grocery delivery service. Life is easy with internet grocery service. Clients can go up and down Stop and Shops lanes right at the comfort of their bed. On the website, shoppers might look through product, or browse a particular category. They can also check the weekly freebies and specials, point and click featured products, and see it appear in the virtual grocery cart. On the next visit, shoppers will be capable of looking at their latest list of grocery and put staples straight into their new shopping cart.
