So, what is Google Plus? Well, Google Plus is a social media created by Google. Some of its tools come from existing services and platforms like the storing and sharing of photos. Most features you will find very similar to other social media and micro-blog platforms. So how can you use Google Plus to benefit your blog? I am going to answer just that question.
Remember, everything on Google Plus is searchable. Use your business page wisely. Like and share other businesses that you are interested in and by doing this they will more than likely like your page and start following you. However, make sure you are following similar content. For instance, if you are writing about parenting do not follow a page from your business page about cars. Keep it in the same area of interest.
Also, you can create circles with Google Plus. Circles are just a group of people who follow your work. So again, be sure to keep the content similar. You do not want to be posting about something off topic on your business page. However, you can create a personal page that you can like and share most anything.
2. MICRO BLOG
You can use Google Plus to micro blog. You can write little inserts about your blog or what your latest post is about. This will get people excited to read what is new and want to read more of your blog. Thus, it will make them actually go to your blog and read about what you have posted.
3. ASK FOR PLUS ONE
Asking people to plus one your page will show that they are following it and show up on their page for their readers to see. This may seem a bit desperate to some but if you are new this is a good way to get the word out about your new blog. Do not be afraid to ask all they can do is say no. Get as many plus one’s you can and watch your page grow.
4. POST REGULARLY
In order for Google Plus to work to your advantage, you want to be sure you are posting on a regular basis. Do not just create the account and get people to follow you just for it to sit there and do nothing for you or them. Stay active on Google Plus. Post about your upcoming blogs or past content or something that you have found related to the subject matter but whatever you do, do not allow it to sit stagnate.
5. ONE ON ONE
Keep your business page like you are talking to them one on one. Respond to messages and queries. Make them feel like you are sitting right there in front of them talking directly to them. Have one on one conversation. Get them engaged in reading your information.
Do you use Google Plus or another social media platform that you have great results from?
